Hi Reader!
When I was in my teens, getting dressed for a night out was a complete disaster.
I didn't have a lot of clothes (I spent my money on other things).
So every time I was going out with friends, the same thing happened.
π Try on one outfit.
π Try on another.
π Throw something on the bed.
π© Get more frustrated.
Until eventually I'd yell:
π‘ "I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR! I'M NOT GOING!"
In the end, Linda would come to my rescue and say I could borrow one of her outfits.
I'd angrily try one on... and then think:
"Hmm... this could actually work." π€
And do you know what the worst part is?
After washing the outfit she lent to me...
...I'd somehow forget to give it back and it would magically end up in my closet. π
π Why Less Choices Can Actually Feel Better
Looking back, I don't think I needed more clothes.
I just needed a few pieces that actually worked together.
Because having a wardrobe full of random clothes didn't make getting dressed easier.
It just made me frustrated.
It's funny because we often think having more clothes will automatically make getting dressed easier.
But sometimes the opposite is true.
A few pieces that all work together can save so much time and stress.
π A pair of jeans you love.
π€ A simple white shirt.
π§₯ A classic jacket.
𧣠A few accessories.
Suddenly, getting dressed becomes much simpler.
(It sure would have helped me in my teens. π)
πΏ Style Doesn't Have To Be Complicated
One thing Linda and I have realized is that confidence doesn't come from having the biggest wardrobe.
It comes from feeling comfortable in what we're wearing.
And when our clothes fit our lifestyle and our personality...
We stop overthinking.
We just get on with our day.
β¨ The Best Part
A capsule wardrobe isn't really about owning less.
It's about owning better.
β
Choosing pieces you'll actually wear.
β
Buying with intention.
β
Making your mornings easier.
And most importantly, spending less time wondering what to put on.
π One Thought To Leave You With
Life is busy enough.
So getting dressed shouldn't be another source of stress.
Maybe we don't need more clothes.
Maybe we just need clothes that we actually love wearing. π
β
Now we're curious, Reader...
Have you ever felt frustrated that you couldn't find anything to wear?

Have a great week,
