The goal isn't to become someone else

Hi Reader!

Let's talk about something that completely changed the way we think about style.

For years, we assumed being "fashionable" meant wearing whatever was trendy.

If everyone was wearing it, it must look good... right?

Not necessarily.

One of the biggest style lessons we've learned is that not every trend works for every person.

And honestly?

That's completely okay.

πŸ’ The Goal Isn't To Become Someone Else

Sometimes it feels like fashion is constantly telling us what we should wear.

πŸ‘– The trendy jeans
πŸ‘— The trendy dress
πŸ§₯ The trendy silhouette

But style isn't about copying someone else's look. It's about understanding what works for you.

Because the truth is that we're all built differently.

Some people look incredible in high-waisted pants.

Others don't.

And none of that is a problem.

🌿 Why Body Shape Matters

Understanding your body shape isn't about following strict fashion rules.

It's about learning how to highlight your best features.

When clothes work with your natural shape instead of fighting against it, everything seems easier.

βœ… You feel more comfortable
βœ… More confident
βœ… More like yourself

And that's what great style is really about. πŸ˜‰

✨ The Comparison Trap

Many people focus on what they wish they looked like.

Instead of learning how to make the most of the body they already have.

But confidence rarely comes from trying to become someone else.

It usually comes from accepting your natural features and learning how to enhance them.

That's true for fashion.

And honestly, it's true for beauty in general.

😊 We've Been Guilty of This Too

My sister Linda and I have both worn outfits that looked great on someone else but didn't feel quite right on us.

I still remember an outfit I borrowed from Linda when I was a teenager. It was a cropped green sleeveless top with a black skirt.

The funny thing is that the outfit looked great on her.

But we don't have the same body shape.

While there was nothing wrong with the outfit, I felt really uncomfortable in it.

My shoulders are a little broader than Linda's, and I became incredibly self-conscious about them.

I spent the whole night worrying about how I looked instead of actually enjoying myself.

While my friends were dancing and having fun, I was busy thinking about my outfit.

Looking back, I made the same mistake many more times.

But as I've gotten older, I've realized how important it is to wear clothes that make me feel comfortable, confident, and like myself.

Now, this doesn't mean we should never experiment with fashion.

Sometimes that's exactly how we discover what works for us.

And just as importantly, what doesn't.

πŸ’› The Real Goal

We don't believe beauty is about becoming a different person.

It's about becoming the best version of yourself.

βœ… Taking care of your skin
βœ… Looking after your health
βœ… Dressing in a way that flatters your features

And most importantly, wearing things that allow you to feel comfortable and confident in your own skin.

Because at the end of the day, the goal isn't just to look good.

It's to feel good too. πŸ˜€
